A graphic animation and security camera recording from a gas station shows Monday’s attack by suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, that killed three civilians and a police officer, including a three-year-old child and a pregnant woman.
The footage from a gas station in the southeastern province of Batman shows that the attack was carried out in a “drive-by” fashion. The assailants drove past the police vehicle, spraying it with gunfire as they made a u-turn and drove through a gas station.
The civilian car next to the police also was hit by bullets, causing the deaths of three people.
The police responded to the attack as the militants drove away. The flash of bullets flying past can be seen in the footage.
