Two policemen killed in PKK attack in southern Turkey

Two police officers were killed in an attack by the suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the southern province of Osmaniye today, daily Hürriyet reported on its website.

Police officers came under attack by PKK militants and returned fire. Two police officers and one PKK member were killed in the ensuing clash.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.
